Promised Update: The Tides Have Changed
Hi Everyone,
The Spring has come so it's time for the update on my fitness journey that I promised last fall. Unfortunately, because of an insane pattern, my body has not been able to recover to pre-overdoing levels. The pattern for the last few years now has been that when my health and well-being improve, an uptick in environmental issues rises to meet it, setting me back again. I see and accept this pattern as MY pattern and continue to work on healing the inner layers that have brought it into being.
One upside of it is that I have been forced to face these hidden layers, something I wouldn't have done otherwise. Thus, I trust that the greater powers-that-be have my back and that the persistence of this experience is not a sign of their abandonment or my need for punsishment but a sign of support for deeper healing.
The other upside is that, unable to take up life as I might otherwise have done, I have focused on my relationship with astrology and worked through some of the layers of insecurity and worth that prevented me from taking it and me seriously. In recent months I've had important epiphanies, the most important one being the realization that the mainstream view of astrology is, like so many things, backwards. The truth is that astrology is one of the many wisdom traditions that have encoded within them deep esoteric knowledge. The fact that it is dismissed as woo woo or foolish is nothing more than a symptom of society's disconnect from this foundational knowledge and its own deep spiritual roots. Perhaps it is no coincidence that a humanity that has rejected the sacred finds itself careening along a cliff of destruction.
Some years back, a vision began to emerge, an ambiguous, impossible vision that felt overwhelming and beyond my ability. The fact is, it wasn't beyond my ability. It was beyond the level of belief I felt in myself and in my comfort level with astrology. A few months ago, I decided to take myself and this vision seriously and embarked on the task of creating an astrology design system as a first solid step. If you follow my other Substacks, you've seen pieces of the designs I've created in the recnt astrology charts and other visuals I've used. The purpose of a design system is to gather together all the pieces of a design into a structured system that ensures consistency when creating more pieces of the system. It also provides a template from which a software program can be created. I came to realize this template is an important precursor to learning programming as it provides the context for understanding what I’m learning.
Since completing the design system, the vision has become even more clear. I plan to post an article on Pass It On Astrology, one of my other Substacks, about the evolution of the vision in the next few weeks.
With all of this background and with the assumption that my health is not going to significantly improve for the time being, I don't foresee posting further here any time soon. But I invite you to follow me on Pass It On Astrology and Astrology Journal if you are not already. On Pass It On Astrology, I'll be posting occasional updates and articles as I progress towards the realization of my vision. On Astrology Journal, I will be continuing to post lunation readings and relevant transit readings.
As for this Substack, I'll keep it up as what I have shared may be of interest to the occasional passer by. And it will serve as a candle for me, reminding me of my dream of a healthy, well-rounded life that includes a healthy and fit body. When that becomes a reality, I may post more here. But I won't know until I get there what will feel and be like the right thing to do.
Thank you for your interest, support, and encouragment.
With love and appreciation,
Ellen
