Addition (August 27, 2024): Disregard what I say at the end about how to subscribe to these videos. When I recorded this video, I was still planning on publishing these vlogs in a fitness section of my other Substack, Astrology Journal. But I decided to create a new Substack instead.
About this Vlog
In this vlog, I talk about an injury, why it happened, and what it helped me better understand about myself. I also talk about my experience opening up an incredible fount of energy in the body through movement.
One additional thing I want to say here about that is that I don’t think physical movement alone can resolve all of our issues. I think our biochemistry and related nutritional practices also matter, as do our mental and emotional patterns and spiritual connection. So, while I now understand from experience that unlocking the body is a huge piece of the energy puzzle, I believe there’s more to it, too.
In fact, there is more to it in my experience of my hips unlocking, but I’ll leave that for another video.
Mentioned in the Video
The name of the book I was trying to remember is Body, Mind, Sport: The Mind-Body Guide to Lifelong Health, Fitness, and Your Personal Best. It was written by John Douillard with contributions from Billie Jean King and Martina Navratilova.
The Lawrence Lingren running form video I mentioned is called Contralateral gait vs homolateral gait. How to walk and run organically and healthily. His YouTube channel is called Innerunner, which I highly recommend.
One More Thing
To clarify my intentions with this Substack and to ensure that you know I can’t offer you advice, I need to include this disclaimer. Here it is:
